Friendship Day Special: 5 foods that are best enjoyed with friends

Countless evenings have been dedicated to friends in the office or college canteens and the delicious combo of samosa chai! It was all we needed to pour out our heart to our friends who would probably make fun but support us through it all! Reminisce those times by making mini samosas at home and sharing it with your friends this friendship day. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup plain flour, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp oil. Add water as needed to knead a smooth dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest. Prepare the filling by mashing three boiled and peeled potatoes in a bowl. In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp cumin seeds as it smokes. Then add a handful of peanuts and let them roast. Add paneer cut up in small cubes and fry until slightly golden. Then add the mashed potatoes, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp garam masala powder and fry until well-incorporated. Take the dough and roll small circles of 7 cm diameter and cut into semicircles. Fold a semicircle to make a roll and stuff 2-3 tbsp of potato filling and pinch the bottom to seal. Fry until golden brown on all sides in 2-3 inches hot oil. Serve with fresh adrak wali chai!
